Abstract

Differentiation between recurrence and radiation necrosis in patients with glioma is crucial, since the two entities have completely different management and prognosis. The purpose of the present study was to compare the efficacies of (18)F-FDG PET/CT and 3,4-dihydroxy-6-[(18)F]fluoro-phenylalanine ((18)F-FDOPA) PET/CT in detection of recurrent gliomas.
