Abstract

The surgical management of anterior skull base malignancies requires the full complement of open and endoscopic skull base approaches. Due to the evolution of endoscopic techniques, endoscopic approaches are now being employed for complex skull base tumors. We present our technique for endoscopic management for an advanced (T4) anterior skull base malignancy that provides a systematic approach to resection, margin assessment, and reconstruction. Our surgical strategy provides a systematic approach by which an oncologic resection can be performed within the context of a spectrum of surgical strategies necessary to manage skull base malignancies.

Attention Score in Context

Attention Score in Context

This research output has an Altmetric Attention Score of 4. This is our high-level measure of the quality and quantity of online attention that it has received. This Attention Score, as well as the ranking and number of research outputs shown below, was calculated when the research output was last mentioned on 08 May 2019.
All research outputs
#7,711,414
of 24,176,645 outputs
Outputs from Acta Neurochirurgica
#581
of 2,024 outputs
Outputs of similar age
#149,047
of 449,791 outputs
Outputs of similar age from Acta Neurochirurgica
#8
of 36 outputs
Altmetric has tracked 24,176,645 research outputs across all sources so far. This one has received more attention than most of these and is in the 67th percentile.
So far Altmetric has tracked 2,024 research outputs from this source. They receive a mean Attention Score of 4.3. This one has gotten more attention than average, scoring higher than 70% of its peers.
Older research outputs will score higher simply because they've had more time to accumulate mentions. To account for age we can compare this Altmetric Attention Score to the 449,791 tracked outputs that were published within six weeks on either side of this one in any source. This one has gotten more attention than average, scoring higher than 66% of its contemporaries.
We're also able to compare this research output to 36 others from the same source and published within six weeks on either side of this one. This one has done well, scoring higher than 77% of its contemporaries.
