Abstract

We report the endovascular stenting of an outflow tract thrombosis in a left ventricular assist device in a patient with relative contraindications to sternotomy and pump exchange. This report highlights the importance of simultaneous prevention of stroke using filter devices in the common carotid arteries.This is an open-access article distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial-No Derivatives License 4.0 (CCBY-NC-ND), where it is permissible to download and share the work provided it is properly cited.
