Amy Rees

Product and Client Support Specialist

Amy joined Altmetric in January 2016 as a Data Administrator and is now Product and Client Support Specialist, providing our users with the best possible support and guiding product development activities for one of our technical teams.

She spends a lot of time trying to watch Hockey while in the wrong time zone. She is a slow and steady runner, occasionally powerlifter, and a pretty disappointing tennis player.

About Amy’s role…

I’m responsible for managing customer and user support at Altmetric as well working as product owner for one of our development teams.

In an average day I manage our inbound support queries, making sure everyone has the best possible experience with using Altmetric. As a product owner, I work with one of the development teams attending standups, testing work, and prioritizing what we’ll do next.

The best part of my job is working with all kinds of people. I’m really lucky that my job means I get to talk to people in all industries and positions, both internally and externally. Working with such a range of people means that no day is ever the same!

The most interesting thing I’ve learnt since starting at Altmetric is how great it is to work with such a vibrant, supportive, and fantastic group of people.

The thing I’m most looking forward to next is helping enrich and grow our data sources and, of course, choosing another color for the donut.
