Tracking Team Altmetric

Cat Williams, 18th May 2015

We spend a lot of time in the Altmetric office talking about the varied sources and different types of research outputs we track – but as the team has grown we’ve been having to work harder to keep track of them! As a handy guide (for you and for us!) here’s a summary of the events we’ll be speaking at or attending in the next few months:

15th – 20th May, Austin, Texas
Product Specialist Sara Rouhi and Research Metrics Consultant Stacy Konkiel are in town today and tomorrow hosting altmetrics workshops. There’s still time to tweet them if you’d like to meet up!

ORCID-CASRAI Joint Conference
18th – 20th May, Barcelona, Spain
Altmetric Training and implementation Manager Natalia Madjarevic is there to give an overview of the various automated workflows and systems we’ve set up to help institutions easily implement our platform. Keep an eye out for for her and say hello if you get a chance!

CARA 2015 annual conference

Sara Rouhi (based in Washington herself) will be speaking here as part of the Great Ideas Showcase. Sara will discuss our work with tracking attention to published research in public policy documents. She’ll look at some of the data we’ve gathered so far, and share feedback we’ve had from institutions who have been exploring it for themselves. Drop Sara a line if you’d like to chat, and be sure to stop by her session to find out more.

ARMA 2015

A whole bunch of us are excited to be going to ARMA this year. There’ll be representatives from Digital Science, figshare and Symplectic (as well as us!). Register for the session we’re running in partnership with the University of Cambridge on the afternoon of the 2nd.
