Association between postdischarge antibiotic use and C. difficile testing as a surrogate for clinically significant diarrhea

This national VA study shows that patients prescribed post-discharge antibiotics had a 40-56% higher risk of being tested for C. difficile during the 30 days after discharge than patients not prescribed these antibiotics. doi.org/10.1017/ash....
