DNA polymerase II of Escherichia coli, an alpha-like or group B polymerase, has been crystallized. The crystals are orthorhombic, space group P2(1)2(1)2, with cell dimensions a = 94.4 A, b = 118.2 A, c = 84.2 A and diffract to at least 3.0 A resolution. This is the first example of a group B polymerase to be crystallized.
This research output has an Altmetric Attention Score of 3. This is our high-level measure of the quality and quantity of online attention that it has received. This Attention Score, as well as the ranking and number of research outputs shown below, was calculated when the research output was last mentioned on 16 April 2020.
All research outputs
#9,515,628
of 27,780,120 outputs
Outputs from Journal of Molecular Biology
#5,107
of 12,287 outputs
Outputs of similar age
#8,115
of 24,932 outputs
Outputs of similar age from Journal of Molecular Biology
#32
of 68 outputs
Altmetric has tracked 27,780,120 research outputs across all sources so far. This one is in the 42nd percentile – i.e., 42% of other outputs scored the same or lower than it.
So far Altmetric has tracked 12,287 research outputs from this source. They typically receive a little more attention than average, with a mean Attention Score of 5.7. This one is in the 16th percentile – i.e., 16% of its peers scored the same or lower than it.
Older research outputs will score higher simply because they've had more time to accumulate mentions. To account for age we can compare this Altmetric Attention Score to the 24,932 tracked outputs that were published within six weeks on either side of this one in any source. This one is in the 7th percentile – i.e., 7% of its contemporaries scored the same or lower than it.
We're also able to compare this research output to 68 others from the same source and published within six weeks on either side of this one. This one is in the 1st percentile – i.e., 1% of its contemporaries scored the same or lower than it.
