How does this explain the duplication? If simply the actin blot form the previous unsplit figure was used, wouldn't then be the actin blots for the RISPKO be equally similar? Yet they aren't...
These series of blots were originally constructed as one figure, as the samples are the same (piriform cortex homogenates of mice at different ages)...
yes this is a duplication; however, actin represents loading of the same biological samples, so it could be a valid control provided that all samples were probed on the same membrane
