Perceived scarcity of socio-psychological resources, but not of material resources, predicted preference for cooperation, at least with the local ingroup. I wonder what would have been the effect on cooperation with the outgroup.

Finally out! Self-reports during 2020 lockdowns showed that perceived scarcity affected cooperation in different ways: missing social contact increased cooperation but missing freedom decreased it. Thanks to my fab coauthors and to @LSBU @LSBU_ASC
