@RoblovesJC @JacksonWheat1 Some fish are genetically closer to land vertebrates than they are to other fish. In other words, there’s no biologically consistent way to define “fish” that includes both salmon and sharks but excludes mammals. Image credit: A

@matt_vanarsdall @ramshututu @smashbaals If these mutations don't give any advantages in the environment, there is no reason why the body should change. Mutations also don't need to be a third leg or something, it can also be purely in the genes. Coelacant
