In Alberta, there was significant province-wide work on reducing the inappropriate use of antipsychotics a few years ago. @adrianwagg @JasonCoppingAB

Craig, we looked at antipsychotic use in several sectors in Canada. Note the extremely high use in hospitals vs LTC, in in ALC patients. The care of persons with dementia in acute care is substandard and is a driver of ALC. https://t.co/T2J0p3z92x

@JimMannBC @NatashaErinLane @drbobbell ALC... not a good place. These people are primarily from the community. People end up ALC because of iatrogenic cognitive and functional decline - often avoidable complications of non-senior friendly care practices.
