So this study has found twice as many staff in general ward areas tested positive for Covid than in ITU Hardly surprising as ITU have FFP3 masks for protection, general areas don't To my mind this study supports the call for making FFP3 masks standard

This is an interesting paper to me. Not surprising that housekeeping hit the hardest. All hospital employees that are "patient facing" should be considered in the first tier for immunization, IMO

Interesting study from UK that shows some of the groups initially prioritized for the vaccine in AB may be actually be at lower risk. Likely some of the risk relates to community transmission rather than occupational exposure, but 1 in 3 housekeeping staff

@pwolodarski Inte orimligt att tro att lokalvårdare som arbetar på avdelningar där covidpatienter vårdas har en förhållandevis hög risk för att smittas. Se bl a: https://t.co/a9oLbFGj2t

@theveindoc Agree. All hospital staff should be done by end of month. Interestingly, cleaners and porters are group with highest % of antibodies amongst hospital staff without having ever been symptomatic. Low level exposure? https://t.co/QqgfVbXCaV

Important results that are applicable too to biomedical engineers & technicians. Assessing occupational #COVID19 exposure in different settings should be our first priority in the #BackToNormal plan
