Join us for this 1 hour webinar where two expert guest speakers will share their first-hand experience of exploring the use of social media to promote academic research, and how that relates to promotion and tenure.
Daniel Cabrera, Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Mayo Clinic, will share his research on academics creating social media profiles for promotion and tenure, and discuss why it is important that researchers ensure they are conducting these activities effectively.
Jerad Gardner, Associate Professor of Pathology and Dermatology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, will then present his experience of surveying his social followers to gather insights to use alongside other metrics and analytics for applying for promotion and tenure. He’ll cover the motivations for doing so, how he went about it, and what the outcomes were.
