@donnyw1967 @model_daughters No not sorta true. So much has happened & Trump has made so many anti-democracy statements that people forget the extent of his comments. He made his intent well known BEFORE the election. https://t.co/04xMtFDCpW
@GeorgePapa19 Yeah Wdyt would happen. https://t.co/xAfgI1rohb
Truths are hard to accept. https://t.co/N5rslT0V0e
As Doug Harris and I wrote before the 2020 election, Trump sought to undermine confidence in election processes. This was an outgrowth of a decades long strategy of the GOP to promote distrust in govt. We expected fraud claims + maybe violence if he lost.
@EstoyAvisando solo copian el guión. "For decades, Republicans and American conservatives have cultivated and employed public distrust in government to garner strategic benefits." https://t.co/4yzG0oPsUj
@evoneurality @PeterHLemieux @TheMaineWire @OppSolutions Well, the distrust isn't because it's RCV. It's because the GOP has embarked on an effort to sow distrust in many election rules. Trump has done it for quite awhile. https://t.co/nMRGYHqZ6f

@JamesBo63498520 @LoriMills4CA42 @mtaibbi @ShellenbergerMD @bariweiss @JohnBasham @TitaniaMcGrath You think it's a lie that scholars and the press were discussing Trump's pattern of election lies and incitement? Here's just one example of it: https://t.co/
@GhostFletch @Erndidit @LoriMills4CA42 @mtaibbi @ShellenbergerMD @bariweiss @JohnBasham @TitaniaMcGrath Trump was inciting violence for a very long time. A co-author and I wrote a piece about it in the summer of 2020 (and we were by no means alone). https:
@PuckheadDad @TradingwithPhil @mtaibbi @ShellenbergerMD @bariweiss @JohnBasham @TitaniaMcGrath It was well known that Trump was a threat to our republic because of his lies and ties to the Proud Boys. For instance: https://t.co/T2RJavpaM8
@FourHorsman @dman0067 @quarantinomode @Conrguy @jonkay Suggest reading chapter 6 of my last book, which discusses Trump's years of election fraud lies and his incitement of violence. Or perhaps start with this piece from August 2020: https://t.co/T2RJav87
As D. Harris and I wrote in 8/20, "given Trump’s 2016 and 2020 comments about perhaps being unwilling to accept the results of the election, there is potential for not only protracted legal challenges, but also social disruption." https://t.co/T2RJav87K8

@donmoyn Yes, Doug Harris and I traced Trump's efforts to delegitimize elections back to the 2016 primary season. One of our predictions (in this piece written in August 2020) was social unrest should Trump lose. Said he'd assert fraud. https://t.co/T2RJav
