3/ Only e’ correlates with MAPSE, so the elastic recoil is finished in early systole, while a’ do not, so atrial systole is a new event, caused by the next atrial contraction. https://t.co/uKkscpnDCq

5/ Thus MVO unlocks elastic recoil, seen by the e’. The e’ correlates both with S’ and MAPSE, showing the relation between compression and recoil, but the recoil depends on the unlocking of the volume. https://t.co/uKkscpnDCq https://t.co/pvCE6V7Myi

4/ In HUNT3 MAPSE was ca 14% higher in the LVPW than the IVS, but PW was also ca 10% longer than the IVS. Thus, relative shortening (longitudinal wall strain) in HUNT 3 was 16.6% in IVS, vs 16.5% in PW by segm. strain, and 14.7% vs 15.5% by norm. MAPSE.
