Though that 2017 paper (https://t.co/AwgU7S8pcB ) shows most lactose intolerant people can eat some milk products with little ill effect, that's one example of food choice. And it needs to be a choice for the individual, rather than forced by circumstance
However, the Nature news summary has introduced me to this 2017 Bayless et al paper 'Lactase Non-persistence and Lactose Intolerance' which is useful, and occasionally joyous. There's clearly beef with another research group - 'Minnessota' for one thing. h
