Dowsett & Ramsay mentioned that Epstein-Barr virus reactivation happens sometimes, but the numbers back then (prior to 1990) were very low. Echoviruses (a type of enterovirus) can reactivate EBV, & echovirus infections of the CNS are more prevalent
