Abstract

Research on solid tumors has had limited emphasis on interactions between transformed cells and their neighbors within the epithelium. Leung and Brugge (2012) use cultured breast cancer acini to demonstrate the importance of local interactions between normal and transformed epithelial cells, with important implications for our understanding of epithelial cancers.

Attention Score in Context

This research output has an Altmetric Attention Score of 1. This is our high-level measure of the quality and quantity of online attention that it has received. This Attention Score, as well as the ranking and number of research outputs shown below, was calculated when the research output was last mentioned on 13 March 2012.
All research outputs
#9,403,006
of 12,260,757 outputs
Outputs from Developmental Cell
#2,565
of 2,859 outputs
Outputs of similar age
#77,082
of 113,860 outputs
Outputs of similar age from Developmental Cell
#42
of 45 outputs
Altmetric has tracked 12,260,757 research outputs across all sources so far. This one is in the 20th percentile – i.e., 20% of other outputs scored the same or lower than it.
So far Altmetric has tracked 2,859 research outputs from this source. They typically receive a lot more attention than average, with a mean Attention Score of 10.3. This one is in the 8th percentile – i.e., 8% of its peers scored the same or lower than it.
Older research outputs will score higher simply because they've had more time to accumulate mentions. To account for age we can compare this Altmetric Attention Score to the 113,860 tracked outputs that were published within six weeks on either side of this one in any source. This one is in the 29th percentile – i.e., 29% of its contemporaries scored the same or lower than it.
We're also able to compare this research output to 45 others from the same source and published within six weeks on either side of this one. This one is in the 2nd percentile – i.e., 2% of its contemporaries scored the same or lower than it.
